Madison Setness- Class Discussion

The past couple of classes Dr. Redick has been very story-telling like, I really like this change in class style. Rather than sitting in class counting down the minutes until his over-my-head-class-material is over, I find myself listening closer, indirectly absorbing his class material. Lately the idea of communitas has been very present to me. Hearing Hippy Kippy's stories of the trial make me want to actually go out and hike it. The sense of community and compassion on the trail are so amazing to me. To meet a stranger and have them let you come into their home or provide you with a free meal is just shocking to me. In a world that's so go, go, go to see that generosity still exist is heart warming.
