Madison Setness- Phenomenology of Prayer
In the Phenomenology of Prayer book there are two concepts of the sacred present. The first concept is hat the sacred seems to stand opposed to any attempt to analyze it phenomenologically.Phenomenology is to appear but the sacred tends to not appear. This leads to the belief that the sacred is not fitting into the context that things are normally given. The other concept of the sacred is broken into two sub parts. The first being a mythical vision, that we separate ourselves from worldly context and the divine draws us out of the world while The second way is instead of leaving our world we try to bring God into our own earthly presence. These are the concepts on sacred presences.
