Phenomenology of Prayer 2- Philip Vivirito

One of my favorite lines in The Phenomenology of Prayer is, “passion phased as grief can migrate toward an aching need for consolation and for such understanding as might lift the burden of this need” I wish I could understand how this would work, this idea of passion as grief leading to burden lifting seems like something everyone should try to achieve. If humans can move towards this idea, then we would live a life of passion.
