Mitchell Genovese Random 1

Two summers ago I had a firsthand experience with hiking being a spiritual journey.  Whenever we discuss things like flow and communitas in class it takes me back to the trip I took.  On the trail life is so simple; it is really nice to not have the stresses of modern life.  Being one with nature and the other people you are with and meet is something that you can’t ever forget.  It was on this trip that I felt a strong spiritual presence and experience at a waterfall.  It changed how I looked at life and my future.  I realized that I need to live in the present more and not worry as much about my future.  It was an experience that will stick with me the rest of my life.
