Rachel Popp- Choice #4

I recently read an article about Pope Francis that was a list of things that the author claimed might make him convert to Catholicism. The article was entitled 10 Things Pope Francis Has Done That Make Me Consider Being Catholic. The article honestly gave me a lot of hope. Things on the list include getting rid of the pope-mobile, suggesting that he might see atheists in heaven, not being too cool for twitter, etc. I think that, in this day and age, it is important to be open-minded about people and life in general. Everybody is different and who are we to say who God will let into heaven? Furthermore, the way he keeps up with the times shows that he is living for the future of religion and not the past. The fact that he is refusing many of the perks of pope-hood shows me that he is avid in his beliefs. He doesn’t need those things so he doesn’t want those things. How inspiring is that?
