Madison Sentess- Phenomenology

What should we pray for? According the book we should pray for ourselves and for others. In praying for others don't pray to compete with them but to let the good come to them. Accepting that you can pray for your own needs to be meet must be done in conjunction to understanding that one must also admit that to  receive goods is not always to become good. Prayer is a relation to the goodness that makes one good, therefore to pray for goods only as a means to do good. When we pray we must not ask for things to make ourselves better in that way, but we must pray that we become better, as well as not praying against others.
