Gaby Alvarez: Nature Reflexion #2
While home on thanksgiving I decided to go for a run on a trail that runs behind my house. As I was running I started to think back about how when I had first gone that trail I only had 10 neighbors (more like 10 houses that had been built in my community ) I was surrounded by woods and there was a hill that I would always go shielding on when it snowed. Now that hill is long gone and a city center was built there, two apartment complexes take up 1/4 of the old woods, the other 1/2 has more houses. This little trail is what remains of the woods I grew up in to me this place was my grounding. I used it as a place of reflection, a place where I could escape society and recenter myself and think about my life.
