Brianna Morring- Walking Home pt. 1

Hiking only the white stripes is something that a purist does. The Appalachian Trail; Springer Mountain, Georgia to Mt. Katahdin, Maine is one of the most difficult hikes anybody could do. Once a person starts the AT they know if they want to hike all white of verge of from the path (the blue stripes) to go see something maybe more scenic.
Hike your own hike is a common idea on the trail, judging someone for the trip they are doing is just wrong. People all don't have the same reasons for walking the trail. Some people find spiritual happiness and some people just want to challenge themselves mentally.
The AT was not made for people to take the exact path all the time, heck the trail changes every year. So maybe in the past what was one blue is know white. Hiking is not meant to be mean spirited or judgmental it is just fun. Hike for yourself.
