Cherith C- Landscapes of the Sacred

In class we discussed the relationship between the mask and the holy.  A mask can identify a character as well as hide an identity.  The mask can never truly be separate from the mask.  The ordinary is a mask of the holy and both must be kept in tension.  We try to separate the mask and the holy  in order to see the holy directly.  We have to be able to see the holy in and through the mask.
