Drew Carpenter - Image and Pilgrimage in Christian Culture 1

Turner discusses many pilgrimages in this book. The one that caught my attention is the pilgrimage of the American. Turner talks about how the American people have always been nomadic and people of exploration. They strive to shrug of the village and to enter pilgrimage. I have considered this journey and know that I eventually want to proceed with some type of pilgrimage. Most likely I will go after college and explore more of the world for myself.
