Drew Carpenter - Landscapes of the Sacred 2
In my hometown of Charlottesville, I frequently help out with PACEM. It is a non profit organization that helps the fight against homelessness by providing the homeless with a place to live and food to eat. It also provides them with people like me, to talk to. I have often wondered if this could be considered a sacred place, and the answer is yes. What volunteers do for these people is incredibly helpful; providing them with someone to talk to about many topics, including their spiritual life. During my time there I have met incredible people who have also impacted me. I hope to return soon to this sacred place.
