“Trail Magic”, what is it?
Little
fairies that fly around the trail leaving magical acts upon hikers? Partially, but not quite. Trail Magic is really just unexpected
but welcome help or food provided to hikers,
according to.
These serendipitous acts of kindness are done by a Trail Angel or Angels,
a person or persons who provide these unexpected acts of kindness and
generosity to thru hikers.
Common “trail magic” events include Styrofoam or plastic coolers left at road crossings with cold sodas, waters,
and sports drinks, people handing out
candy bars and treats to thru hikers,
or even pop up cookouts with burgers including all the works;
however, trail magic can take the form of a ride to town,
medical attention, supplies,
advice,
or even a musical performance at the top of a mountain.
