Brittany Moore- Student's Choice #2

Who would have thought that the author of the Chronicles of Narnia (C.S. Lewis) was influenced by the things that we have learned in this class? I grew up reading Narnia and wishing that I could live in that world. Little did I know that those stories were influenced by the real world that I live in every single day. They say that nature is God's second book, and if nature can influence something as beautiful as Narnia, then I believe it. We have been learning about sacred journey since day one of this class. C.S. Lewis uses the idea of journey to influence the Chronicles of Narnia. (Examples- The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, etc.) I just might reread the Narnia books with a different mindset. This time I will read them knowing that our own beautiful world influenced it.
