Cherith C. Phenomenology of Prayer 2

There are many different postures of prayer.  Some people pray standing up, with their eyes closed and their heads bowed, kneeling, or with folded hands.  The posture of prayer relates to the posture of the soul.  Prayer speaks to people in different ways and the way they are engaged is reflected in heir posture.  Prayer is described as the fundamental project of the self in that your posture is revealed to you once you have fully de-centered yourself.
