What is a mask? What is its purpose, what does it do? The definition of a mask is a covering for all or part of the face in particular. But what that definition doesn't cover is the purpose of a mask. A mask conceals the wearer's identity. The wearer could be embarrassed and want to hide his/herself. The wearer could be dressing up or want to change their appearance. There's many reasons a mask can be worn. A mask may conceal an identity, but it also provides a new one. A mask provides possibilities.
