Collin Wilber - Walk Off the War

While doing research for my research paper, I came across a project that really struck me. With my dad serving in Afghanistan and my brother set to serve in the summer, the project was close to my heart. The Walk Off the War program provides fully funded journeys for war veterans to come home and take time to recover and find themselves by thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. The program aids veterans by giving them a way to ease into their transition back into civilian society
