C.S. Lewis writes in his book "Mere Christianity," about the very basics of Christianity without the controversial and sectorial differences that Christianity has broken into since the reformation by Martin Luther. Specifically the book discusses personal faith life in God. One part has always stuck with me since I read the book. In particular, Lewis writes, "Your real, new self (which is Christ's and also yours, and yours just because it is His) will not come as long as you are looking for it. It will come when you are looking for Him." Much like my mission trips, this quote has helped me with figuring out who I am and what my purpose in life is. It is important to remember these things when taking courses such as Sacred Communication and Leadership studies.
